Our flight was delayed last night for 5 hours we were at the airport for 7 and instead of providing good customer service American had NO agents at our gate or around to help. When we asked what the status was or if it would go out tonight we were told to wait because the ramp was closed due to weather & that the new time was posted. Every hour it would be delayed another hour and then finally at 10pm there was an agent that told us that the ramp was now open but the flight crew had left so there was no one to fly us. How could this happen on 4th of July week? TERRIBLE planning there were other American planes in similar situations how do you allow the crews to leave and tell people to STAY for hours with no options? Then we were told it was delayed until tomorrow or canceled due to no crew and to stick around LONGER to find out & maybe get a hotel voucher. We left and came back the next morning after spending hours, 4 Ubers, food, money, and losing one whole vacation day at the airport. I have a herniated disc in my back & had nowhere to rest. If we were told it was not leaving or the crew left WE would have left. The lack of consideration, communication, & respect from American is surprising I used to fly this all the time & last night proved the quality has gone down. The gates FILLED with passengers & no help so that someone grabbed a speakerphone & called for help and the whole floor cheered. Ridiculous. I have pictures of the line of people waiting for the “special” kiosk where there was ONE agent for over 60 people. & we again got NO compensation for any of this ASIDE from ruining my 4th of July plans today now that I’m on a flight over 12 hours later than the original.

This complaint is about THREE flights (2525,1919,487) going from ORL to PHL on July 3 and coming back Jul 7. Our first flight (2525) was delayed for 5 hrs then delayed overnight because the crew left (12 hrs total) and i received no compensation for my ubers or expenses except one way milage (15k) even though my 4th of july plans were ruined. Then my flight back (1919) at 7:39PM was CANCELED the day before i had to call AA mid vacation & was on the phone for hours. The text message i got just said it was canceled & they were working to re-book me yet they did not do anything until i called to make sure. One agent on the phone told me my only option was the 9:14PM flight which got delayed to 10PM which would get me back SUPER late or a 7AM flight meaning i lost my last night & morning of vacation. Finally, after hrs on the phone a supervisor was EASILY able to book us on a 3:52PM flight (487). What is with the lies & lack of good customer service? I later looked online and saw MANY more flights available. Then at the airport the next day 487 was ALSO delayed because the copilot "could not be found" & we had to wait for another to arrive to take us to ORL. Again what terrible planning & organization this is! Why is there no crews to support on a holiday? Then it was delayed EVEN MORE due to the ORL airport closing which we would have avoided had the copilot been available on time. Due to my initial flight being delayed a day & my final flight canceled,rebooked, then delayed again this ruined my 4th of July plans & overall vacation experience plus cost me so much money & extra expenses to/from & AT the airport waiting for nothing.

American Airlines #AmericanAirlines have some racist flight attendants this guy tryed to kick me off the plane because I refused and to talk to him and show him my boarding pass he then called Dallas police to remove me off the plane I asked other passengers did he make them show theirs that all said NO other passengers was telling the police I did nothing wrong , I talked to the pilot and he said everything was okay for me to ride the refused to give me his info and said if I have to give out his name ect then I would need to get off the plane but he had no name tag on or anything they , this was my first and last time flying with them . I NEED CORP TO CONTACT ME ASAP I NEED A FULL REFUND ON THIS FLIGHT I FEEL I THIS WAS RACIST - and I kno it was racist because I had other white people on the flight saying the same thing then I get off the flight and Broward police was waiting for me this lawyer on the plane had to speak with them and let them kno I did nothing wrong and the flight attendant was being nasty please share because as passengers we should not have to go threw this

I had theee worst travel experience this weekend with AA. First they made my friends and I check our bags at the gate when we got on the plane there was plenty of overhead space , then the pilot had us sitting on the plane for 6 hours , with little communication as to what was going on , the flight attendants were rude, stating “we are not holding you hostage “ when some of the passengers started to complain about being hungry ,the pilot then stated that “we will get cookies and water but that’s the best it’s going to get” after 6 1/2 hours they canceled our flight and when we tried to rebook, nothing was leaving to go to Vegas until Tuesday, so there goes my 30th birthday trip!!!! Then the kicker is we couldn’t get our bags that day , so I went back on Sunday, it took the baggage claim agents 4 hours to tell me my bags were on their way to Las Vegas ??♀️ Now the bags were supposed to have been pulled so that they wouldn’t go to Vegas since we were no longer going to Vegas , here it is Monday and I still have no luggage and I’m still in Philadelphia happy 30th to me !

I just got completely screwed over by American Airlines for my flight from DC to LA. The disabilities team placed me in a bigger seat for my service dog last week. When I arrived at the gate today I was told the seat was no longer available and that I was still seated in an economy seat. My 50 pound service dog would not fit here. The attendants at the gate were flippant and knew nothing about how to help my situation. They also didn’t understand that I had a disability. I will never fly American Airlines again after this horrible experience. Spoke to a customer service rep and all they did was apologize for the mistake and said they couldn’t do anything about it after first blaming me for not booking an extra legroom seat. I fly all the time with my service dog and have never had an experience this horrible. @americanair

American Airlines is an absolute joke, I have never encountered such unprofessional service. The flight was canceled after sitting on the plane for almost 2 hours! I understand the circumstances, what I don’t understand is how a whole flight crew can abandon a flight and leave everyone on the plane to disembark on there own. We literally had to set the alarm off at the gate in order to get back into the airport!!! Not even an announcement, we all found out that the flight was cancelled by texts from American, 5 minutes before they even made an announcement over the loudspeaker!!!! Your better off with ANY airline...even spirit!!!! And no help from customer service in the airport and a “90 minute wait” on the American airline 800 number!!! Terrible service, at an outrageous price!!!!
