This was the first cover of the magazine which soon took the name Vogue Italia, photographed by Irving Penn and with a cover line that enticed readers with an Audrey Hepburn and Givenchy exclusive. This was October 1964 and, at the time, the magazine was still called Novita, having being recently purchased by an expanding Conde Nast.
