A lot of people noticed from my Visiting Day pics that the blue is pretty much gone from Mazzy’s hair. I’m not sad about it. I took it as a really good sign that she is bathing! 💙 Who thinks she’s going to ask me to dye it again when she gets back??😳

flutteringfairy @lonely_pluto08 It will dye clothing, and skin for a short time. It's never stayed on my fingers for more than a day or two though. I have a designated "hair dye towel" that I wrap around our sholders. Cover hair with a shower cap while letting it sit so it doesn't touch any furniture, Then rinse with cold to Luke warm water in the tub. The dark purple one tinted the bottom of the tub a bit but it came off fairly easy with a normal bathtub cleaner containing bleach. It might depend on the type of tub though? Manic panic will wash out in about 2 to 3 weeks depending on how often you wash, but I like it because it is vegan so there's no harsh chemicals and it leaves your hair nice and moisturized.

cwpetal I thought this yesterday as I was looking at Mazzy camp pics you posted and then got side-tracked and never posted to you. But...here I am again today, thinking similar thoughts...I have never seen Mazzy's eyes quite so bright and happy as they are in some of the camp pics. Such a great camp choice for her!

fcarolinem The hair faded out quickly because she has brown hair. Blue dye (and most other colors) don’t really like to stick to brown, Unbleached hair like hers (or mine) for very long. I think it’s so wonderful that you are allowing Mazzy to express herself through her hair! ??

lonely_pluto08 @flutteringfairy Thank you for answering me. I'll be dyeing my daughters hair later this month then. She already chose what color she would like and I'll be using old towels and covers on the bed. I just hope she doesn't decide to put some dye on her brother's hair. ?

flutteringfairy @lonely_pluto08 I definitely encourage kids to dye their hair while they are young. It promotes confidence and trying new and different things with their look before we get to the oh so confusing pre teen years. ? Good luck if you decide to go for it!! ❤️

lonely_pluto08 @flutteringfairy Does it stain any surrounding furniture or clothes? If it does, does the dye come off easily when washing the stained items? My 7 year old has been asking me to dye her hair and I would love to but I'm still unsure.
