Exploring the local crags around Banff. Grassi Lakes is one of them; one of the shorter approaches in the area 😁 I chose to wear a helmet because there are a lot of mountain sheep 🐑 at the top that kick rocks down. It’s always best, in my opinion, to wear a helmet when in doubt! #helmetup @petzl_official

Thank you so much for highlighting the importance of wearing a helmet in areas with rockfall hazards! This is especially impactful as there was a recent fatality at Grassi. I also really appreciate the photo as it seems most of the times pro climbers don't wear helmets in the photos they post.

I have a friend who flipped backwards (rope was behind his leg, regardless...) and hit his head. Stroked out on the left side and still has major deficits. A helmet may have prevented that. ❤️

Every year there is a hiker or climber that dies or almost dies at grassi due to rock fall... helmets are key! So happy to see you rocking the helmet.

@sashadigiulian it makes me so happy to see pro climbers wearing helmets! I've seen too many bad head injuries! Thanks for being a good example!
