thefriendgineer @beautifulballs_reptiles it’s to track her vitals like energy output. He hashtag’d metabolism too. I’m assuming heartbeat as well and a bunch of other stuff. If they can understand output like that knowing what activities Meg is up to like when she’s eaten or sleeping vs playing as opposed to a lion in the wild where they can’t see what activity they are doing in relation to the data, it can help all lions everywhere. I guess we will have to wait for the next #askmeg to find out for sure what all the details are.

thefriendgineer @abhidhamale4102 I know which video you’re talking about and that dude is lucky to be alive. I’ve seen another documentary guy get caught too far away from the safety of his vehicle. He had a long stand off and even he said things could end either with him as dinner or the lion would back off. No way to tell til it’s too late. Too many factors at play to know for sure. He was lucky that day.

I believe since they can actually see and keep an eye on Meg the data will be more precise as they can match it up with her activities. Like before and after a meal. That’s my guess.
