Now is an excellent time to plan an autumn trip to the area, as the heat and potential for flash flooding can be dangerous during the summer. Please remember, the Bureau of Land Management's “The Wave” requires a permit purchased in advance by a lottery system.
Visiting these remote places takes planning and consideration. Please bring plenty of your own water and proper hiking footwear.
