Delta Airlines is making it easier for passengers to identify crew members who can communicate with deaf travelers. In addition to spoken languages such as Spanish and Russian, in-flight crew members’ uniforms will now also indicate whether they know a signed language. “We are heartened that it's becoming more clear to the world that the hundreds of sign languages we have deserve recognition as does any other language,” said the CEO of Communication Service for the Deaf. About 466 million people worldwide have a “disabling” level of hearing loss, according to the World Health Organization. (📸: Delta)

There should be a universal sign language. Is it even possible? I mean, spanish, french and italian are not exactly equal but they are alike, so maybe there could be a sign language form alike languages.

I actually like this. Good to know who can communicate with the deaf. It’s important. Just don’t want it to go to far and start saying Spanish or some stupid shit

@real.joe.nap you are absolutely wrong. National labor relations board protects employees right to unionize. Hope I cleared that up for you

When you see a measure that’s so simple to implement and such common sense, it makes ya wonder why it wasn’t there all along.
