As it's #NationalAllotmentWeek I thought I'd show you the mini veg 'patch' we've got growing at HQ. There's tomatoes, chillies, peas and sweet corn all growing here, check out the toms which are just coming into colour, and those chillies!! 👉👉👉 What veggies do you grow on your allotment or at home?? #JamiesVeg

simrobb Have an allotment in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 had it for a year and my 4 year old and I love it!! I’ve got tons from it recently due to the crazy weather. Strawberries (massive so sweet and delightful) rhubarb, potatoes, leeks, radish, all the onions, (huge) white red and spring !!! Beetroot which I roast, also made chocolate cake from!!! We pan fry the leaves and stems also!!! My cauliflowers huge and so yummy!!! Turnips, millions of peas that hardly made it to the pan, tomatoes, garlic (hanging and drying out best I’ve ever tired) courgettes, spinach (strangely grows like a bean stalk) chillis for me didn’t work but can’t complain 🤣 also growing your standard herbs but my curry plant is a dream so pungent 🙌🏼

sarapeikert Pumpkins, round zucchini, normal zucchini, chillies, jalapeño, paprika, cherry tomatoes, yellow tomatoes, cucumbers, snack cucumbers ( brilliant, highly recommend! little guy loves them to munch away and they are super handy for a quick lunch salad), leak, broccoli, chard, Brussels sprouts, kohlrabi, beetroot, different salads, spring onions, pretty much any herb you could need in the kitchen and a couple of berry’s... very lucky the big man has a green finger(hope little one got it from him, I myself can kill a cactus), big garden and sees it as his chill out zone after a work day!

reshgala Fabulous job, Jamie!! I grow a lot of food in my small backyard garden - eggplants, tomatoes (Sungold variety is the sweetest), cucumbers, beans etc. I also make sure I grow something different every year - this year I’m growing curry leaves, sugar baby watermelon and bitter gourd! PS: I think I spotted a leaf-miner on your tomato leaf. You might want to take care of the problem asap. Much love and best wishes to you! Can’t wait for your new book! morrison1906 Looking good....this year we've not done much, bit we have strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes and a thornless blackberry bush...this year I decided that with a two year old it would be easier to start off slowly and show him when the right time to pick thing was, when I grew things with my now 5 yr old we lost alot as he wouldn't leave the veggies alone 🙈, but saying that now the fruit doesn't make it in the house! As soon as the 5 and 9 yr old see it they pick and share it between the 3 of them 😂

jadesmithdale We just moved into our new house. The previous owners made a beautiful garden. We have sweet potatoes growing, Cherry tomatoes, chilis, olives, apples, Pears, figs, quince, mulberries and fijoas. We've just pulled up the veggie garden to move to another part of the yard but I look forward to planting i the new one full of all our favourite veg.
