My family and I haven’t gone on a proper holiday together in over 8 years - so why did I suggest we go on one at age 26? 🧡 My parents showed me the world when I was a child. Now it’s my turn to show it to them. Travel is my passion and they would never have done a road trip like this unless I suggested it. I planned every single detail of this holiday and guess what? They loved it! 💜 I’m realising more and more as I get older that my parents aren’t going to be here forever. My bowel surgery also reminded me that my life can be taken in an instant too. I want to make incredible memories with my family while I can. Since I live in London I only see them once a month, so a holiday was an amazing way to get a big batch of quality time together. ❤️ My parents are my friends. Growing up they were my caregivers but now that I’m an adult I feel like we’re just mates. We have so much fun together. Yeah we get on each other’s nerves, as all families do, but we love each other unconditionally and we have a lot of banter! 👯‍♀️ Honestly, I strongly encourage you to get some quality time in with your family.
