Can seaweed save the world? Environmentalist Tim Flannery thinks so! Seaweed has epic carbon-capturing potential, meaning that it functions a lot like a forest and can trap carbon before it enters our atmosphere. But unlike forests, seaweed can grow a meter a day and doesn’t face the carbon-releasing risks (like fires and bugs) that trees experience. All of this might sound a little bonkers, but visit the link in our bio to watch Tim’s TED Talk and learn more about this potentially planet-saving solution.
