Photo by @daisygilardini | When photographing sunrises and sunsets, I always hope for just the right amount of cloud formations in the sky. Too few clouds will result in a boring image, while too many will obscure the colors entirely.
On this day, while on assignment in Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park, the magic happened! Not only did we have the right amount of clouds, but the clouds were at different altitudes. It’s great when this happens because the clouds catch the first rays of sun at different times depending on the altitude. That creates different hues, which give the image more depth.
