Photo by @bertiegregory | A bull moose walks across a frozen river on the west coast of the Hudson Bay in Manitoba, Canada. The biggest bulls can grow antlers that are six feet across and weigh more than 40 pounds. Like other members of the Cervidae (deer) family, moose grow and shed their antlers every year, with all the growing occurring in a five-month period. Having the biggest antlers helps males achieve reproductive success. Follow @bertiegregory for more wildlife adventures. #wildlife #moose #ice #snow #antlers
