Photo by @stephen_matera | Ancient bristlecone pine forest, White Mountains, California. Living ancient bristlecones have been discovered to be as old as 5,000 years and are considered to be Earth’s oldest living non-clonal organisms. They grow at 9,800 to 11,000 feet (3,000 to 3,300 meters) in the Inyo National Forest.
