Photo by @amandamustard | Along the western edge of the Gulf of Thailand, hundreds of salt fields glisten in the sun. In the Samut Sakhon Province—the region's largest manufacturer of salt—seawater is pumped across the flat fields at the end of the wet season and left through the dry season. Around April, seasonal workers come out in droves to harvest the salt, first raking it into piles, then scooping them into baskets, and, finally, carrying them off to be bagged.
