今日の和菓子 : 菜虫化蝶 (なむしちょうとなる)
菜虫が蝶になり、飛び交い始める頃。七十二候の中でも3月16日から20日に相当する季節を「菜虫化蝶（なむしちょうとなる）」というそう。菜の花が咲き、野に蝶々が舞い始めるといよいよ本格的な春の到来。そんな春の訪れを感じさせてくれる抹茶味のきんとんです。

Today’s Wagashi：Spring Field
Here in Japan, there is a calendar that divides a year into 24 sections. It is called “24 Sekki (24節気). According to the calendar, insects come out of hibernation in March. Leaf-worm caterpillars become butterflies and fly high around early March. This confectionery visualizes the spring fields with canola flowers and white butterflies. Spring is just around the corner!
