When Sarah Trad, a Beirut psychologist, turned her family home in the mountains of Lebanon into a guesthouse, she enlisted architect @fadlodagher and designer @mariaousseimi1 to carry out a respectful restoration. “It’s a house that likes guests,” says Trad of the property, which is known as @beittrad. “That’s how it is most happy.” In the library, the floor-to-ceiling cabinets are paneled in vintage doors; a French metal garden table is framed by vintage Chinese bamboo chairs and a pair of bamboo stools from Morocco. The vintage pendant originally hung in a mosque.
