I hope that this time will be a lesson to us all, to become more selfless, less materialistic and truly generous towards helping others in their time of need. With the world shut down the divide becomes more and more apparent between “wants” and “needs” - what we need is what is still available to us (water, heat and food) and what we want is rendered useless (cars parked on driveways and clothes and jewellery in wardrobes that we cannot wear). It’s good to work hard and treat yourself to nice things, but that becomes unhealthy if you’re never happy with what you have. Recognise your blessings, be THANKFUL for the here and now and where possible please try to give to those less fortunate.
