Should I be afraid of every person coming towards me wearing a badge?
Should I be overlooked for every opportunity within a company?
Should I be followed through a store as if I'm a shoplifter?

As a Black man, I want to feel comfortable in this world. I love my skin. I embrace my roots. I'm tired of people looking at me because of my tattoos and my choice to use slang or not. I'm not ghetto. I'm just from the hood. The Black race is often mimicked. Our culture is used by so many other races that call us out of our names. Then, you see those same people praising athletes and entertainers. There are so many powerful BLACK people in this world. It's amazing to be born of African descent yet it has always been a task to be a Black man. Now, everyone needs to wake up and realize BLACK LIVES MATTER. Equality is now. Speak up, and make a stand. Stop killing us. ✊🏽"
