This historic temple was built about 1,200 years ago by the Emperor Kojin's wish.The temple is famous as a hydrangea temple, but the 20,000 plants and 50 kinds of hydrangeas in the temple are spectacular ✨. The red gate at the entrance is a nice accent, so if you go first thing in the morning and there are not many people there, you can take a quick shot. I took a picture with 📷. Mimurotoji Temple is located close to Uji Station. Walking distance from the main shop of #ItoKyuemon (famous for green tea), #NakamuraTokichi, and Byodoin Temple (a world heritage site).
