"For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream."
– Vincent Van Gogh
Covering over 210,000 rugged acres along the border of #Colorado and #Utah, Dinosaur National Monument is one of the darkest places remaining in the United States. Because there is little light pollution here, you can see the stars with startling clarity. While most of the visible stars are relatively close by in our own #MilkyWay galaxy, some of the starlight arriving tonight left distant galaxies 150 million years ago, when the dinosaurs that gave the park its name roamed this area. Their fossils are found in the sandstone cliff and canyons, waiting to tell their stories. With wonders past and present, above and below, this is indeed a place for dreamers.
