This is one day of helicopter traffic in the Western Canyon merged together to show cumulative impact taken by @pedromcbride. It is part of my film “Into the Canyon” for @natgeochannel which was nominated for a 2020 Emmy for Outstanding Nature Documentary. The film chronicles our 750-mile hike through the entire length of the Grand Canyon to highlight its beauty and the ongoing balancing act between economics and commercial development and resource extraction in wild areas. As my friend and hiking partner @kevinfedarkoauthor wrote, "There is always the ongoing desire to turn beauty into cash."  I'm grateful to the many people that helped us stay alive and sane during all of it -- the year-long hike and the year-long film production.
