Canadians are nice and not particularly fearful, which is why this incredibly stupid advice surprised the hell out of me. Look, all lifeforms follow the same basic algorithm. This awareness came out of the research in my book on mitochondria. The first thing you do with all of your attention is run away from, kill, or hide from scary things. (I’m looking at you, Covid.) Yes, this is an F word, FEAR. Then, if nothing’s trying to kill you, you eat everything. That’s why you keep eating the entire pan of brownies even when you said you wouldn’t. The F word in for this is FEED. Only after you’re sure nothing is hunting you, and you’re well fed, are you going to do the next thing to keep the species alive, which is another F word. So if you are so afraid of getting a virus that >98% of people survive, DON’T HAVE SEX with that partner. You’re not going to be good at it anyway in the state of fear. Unless of course, Eyes Wide Shut masks are your thing…in that case, go for it. 😂 I am getting really tired of advice from authorities that ignores the basic algorithms of life. Guess what the fourth F word is? It is Friendship. If we practice endless “social distancing” that cuts off two of the four basic things that all life does in the world, how long do you think it will last before the damage caused is greater than the good? I’m not telling you to go without a mask, especially if you are at high risk. I’m telling you that if you feel like you need to wear a mask to be “safe,” it’s a bad time to get down. 😎 P.S.
