My plant-based falafel burger is loaded with guacamole, vegan mayo, vegan cheese, tomato, lettuce and chillies and tastes absolutely insane! Often when it comes to vegan food you tend to find something that is very “vegetably” such as sweet potato burgers with chopped carrots and sweetcorn pieces, or something very “meaty” like mock chicken or beef which mimics the taste and texture of an animal. Personally for me, my whole life I have never liked the taste or texture of meat so I prefer the vegetable tasting plant-based options whereas somebody who enjoys eating meat can really enjoy the meat-substitute options minus the calories and fats. So many of my friends are meat eaters and when they’re with me they very kindly make the choice to try vegan alternatives and absolutely love them from both a taste perspective and health.
