You guys know I am an advocate for reducing consumption of virgin plastic, so here’s some lesser known swaps I do, shared in partnership with @dove: 1️⃣ Teabags ☕️ Did you realise most teabags are laced with plastic? This means they can’t break down and stick around for hundreds of years. Try buying loose leaf tea or home compostable teabags. 2️⃣ Chewing gum 👎🏼 Sadly this is made from plastic and over 100,000 tonnes of it are thrown away each year. Try switching to regular mints! 3️⃣ Period products🩸 A conventional pad can contain the same amount of plastic as 4 plastic bags and take over 500 years to break down.
