Photo by #CanonExplorerOfLight @charlesglatzer "This image was taken on a moonless night atop the Blue Ridge Pkwy (Cowee overlook), NC. I used a 'Night Sky' filter to help reduce the artificial ambient light and extract detail in the night sky.
To ensure I do not have any star streaking in my image with high megapixel cameras, I divide my focal length into 400, instead of the typical 500. 400 / focal length (20mm) = 20 sec.
Additionally, with the EOS R5 you can depress the magnify button once for 6x, twice for 15x in the viewfinder or on the rear LCD screen for critical focus. I find it is best to manually focus and tape the focus ring to make sure it does not shift while shooting."
