Photo by Matt Borowick @mborowick / Situated a mere 12 light-years away is the Orion Nebula, just south of Orion's Belt. During the early months of the pandemic I became much more interested in astrophotography and photographing what I could during the night. Being able to capture images like this with the gear I already had made the magic of it all seem so much more accessible. Depending on where you are viewing the nebula from and the amount of light pollution in your area, you can see this astronomical beauty with binoculars and—in some cases—just your eyes.
