I VOTED! I was initially sad about mailing in instead of going to the polls with my girls like I normally would, but having the mail-in ballot allowed us to sit down at the kitchen table, with time to discuss who I was voting for and why, and then fill out the ballot together. I showed them the third party candidates, the importance of the people running for more local positions, the people running uncontested and what it means to vote for one party all the way down the ticket. Then we read and reread the instructions before finally sealing the envelope, walking over to the mailbox, and trusting our Post Office to do its job. Felt good!!! Btw, if you decide to share a ballot selfie, take it of your sealed envelope. It’s illegal to show your actual ballot in a lot of states including New York. Have you voted yet? #ivoted #vote2020
