I stood on Crank’s ridge, and while on the other side the sun was setting above Kumaon hills, somewhere beyond the mountains of Nainital, I ended up sitting on the other side of the ridge, watching Mt. Trishul illuminating in the dying light of the day, beyond the other end of Kasar.

And I wondered about how Dylan would’ve sat there, playing music till the end of the day staring at those Himalayas, or how Vivekananda would’ve learned secrets within his mind while meditating by the temple, with sun setting beyond those hills.

And how over all the years and decades you might bring more buildings and people to a place, but those mountains, those rocks, those old trees, the Himalayas far away, they all stay the same, they all have seen us grow, seen us make scientific advancements, and yet here we are, still seeking solitude, and those old trails to walk upon, so we can feel exactly what humans for centuries have felt staring at these sights.

For all the advancements made in physical world, we still continue to seek the heightened states within us, with the help of nature, help of these sights, and the power they hold within.
