Diwali isn’t supposed to be happy always,
Sometimes it’s not,
And maybe for you it might not be today while you stare at the pictures of thousands of others on Instagram, posting the most perfect Diwali pictures and you might be left wondering why are you being punished.

It’s ok, maybe it’s not our day today, maybe we still have to go through the darkness a little more, before the light arrives. And when it will, we will celebrate Diwali that day, we will laugh, we will hug each other, and we will stare at the sky, and it won’t be dark anymore.

But until then, let’s hope we find the strength to close our eyes, take a deep breath, and remember that our Diwali is yet to arrive, while everyone around us celebrate theirs.

And silently wish, a very happy Diwali, to our future selves.
