Are you a BEGINNER? Ladies, this one is for you! 🙌
I want to give you some advice to help you feel confident when you're just starting out with your training. So many women feel intimidated, embarrassed, confused and hesitant before they start working out - but there is no need!

Here are my tips to help you feel confident as a beginner:

BEFORE YOUR WORKOUT:
👉 The night before, lay out everything you will need for your workout (if you're going to the gym, put it all in a bag). Make sure you have your activewear, drink bottle, towel and any equipment you need ready to go
👉 Get ready for your workout using the app. If you're going to the gym, sit in your car and take a minute or two to look through the workout you're going to do on @SWEAT, it will tell you exactly what equipment you will be using and how to do all of the exercises. Everything is laid out for you on the app.

DURING YOUR WORKOUT:
👉 Start light. If you’re not sure which weight to use in your workouts, my advice is to start with lighter weights. You can always increase the weight as you start to feel stronger. I will do another post this week with more detail on how to pick your weights.
👉 Try not to compete with anyone else around you during your workout. You need to go at your own pace, which means if you feel yourself getting really out of breath and dizzy, slow it down.
👉 Adjust your workout to suit you and modify any exercises that are too difficult (if you can't do an exercise with correct form, this means it's too challenging). For example, remove the jumps from exercises or slow them down.

AFTER YOUR WORKOUT:
👉 Make sure you do the cool-down exercises after my workouts, as it will really help avoid too much soreness the next day.
👉 Drink at least a litre of water in the hours following your workout.
