During my latest expedition in Antarctica, this time on a small private yacht, we managed to land on a small island during a breathtaking sunset. You never know what the Antarctic night will hold for you. Sometimes a promising sunset will turn on you quickly when low clouds obstruct the horizon. Sometimes you think nothing is going to happen, and at the last minute an opening will allow the light to peek through the clouds in an explosion of color.
