Meet Frédérique LaVender.
My plus one found this full sized, display mannequin at a consignment shop many many years ago. And over those years, I have tested dozens of body paint concepts on him…. Sometimes with body paint products, sometimes with cut out shapes and props, and towards the end I was using acrylic paint which had started to really build up. My favorite body paint projects have often started as an experiment on him. It was time for a makeover….. Frédérique got a fab flyaway lavender updo, une veste verte, and une cravate turquoise.
My amazingly talented friend @jamesenglishstudio made his pedestal wooden base to complete the look.
He’s 36” tall completed with plaster, rope, wood, leather, and acrylic paint plus endless hours of positive energy and creativity.
