Meet Grace Lang.
Her origin was far from glamorous. She was an armless torso, missing the top and back of her head, covered in gloppy yellow splatter paint, and then a glossy black paint that appeared to have been poured all over her when I found her at an antique market. I was going to pass on her but my plus one thought she held promise.
Grace took a lot of time to mend and bring her to a new life. I left a pinch of her of former self her and there because scars can be beautiful and a reminder of a life lived and survived.
Her left side is inspired by the stunning @ウィニー・ハーロウ.
My incredibly talented friend @jamesenglishstudio made the base for this one as well. Thanks Jim!
Grace is 39” tall completed with plaster, rope, leather, wood, acrylic paint, and a lot of love.
