ナショナルジオグラフィックさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ナショナルジオグラフィックInstagram)「Photos by @jimmychin | In the fall of 2009, I set out on my first feature assignment for National Geographic to capture the spirit, culture, and evolution of cutting-edge climbing in Yosemite. I wanted to show the world a different perspective of the national park in California. Every day I was conscious that there were pictures happening somewhere in the valley that I was missing. I spent two complete seasons, spring and fall, chasing Yosemite locals and a roster of some of the finest climbers in the world: Dean Potter, Alex Honnold, Leo Houlding, Kate Rutherford, Sean Leary, Brad Gobright, Ueli Steck, Tommy Caldwell, and others. Some images required days of climbing and rigging to get a single shot. Other moments, like these of the Yosemite Search and Rescue team, happened spontaneously while hanging out at the famous Camp 4 on a rainy morning. I am deeply grateful for those days. Some of the people I photographed are no longer with us, and I treasure the memories of our last shared experiences together. The photos were published in the May 2011 issue of the magazine.
