My time was 11:55. 🤯 It was questioned if a female would ever break 12 minutes. Pursuing self mastery has become a purpose/interest of mine as I’ve ventured further into the hybrid fitness space. Throughout my own process of growth, I want to share my knowledge & lessons to help others realize their own full potential. Some concepts that helped me set a new world record: 1. The mind is far weaker than the body. I like to think of the Navy Seals’ 40% rule. The idea is that when your mind tells you that you are done and can't go any further, you are only at about 40% of your actual capacity. 60% left in the tank. 2. If you want to accomplish something great, it all starts with convincing yourself it’s already yours. But you must have valid evidence to back it up. You can’t fool yourself. For this WR, I put in the training (w/ @geigercoaching), I looked at the numbers, I did everything I knew I needed to do.. so when I told myself it was mine, I truly believed it. Then I continued to meditate on & manifest that belief into existence. I can do this. It’s mine. I’m ready. 3. The body is a machine. If you dive deep into the understanding of energy systems, adaptations, and how things work, you can learn to control them. Self mastery starts with self awareness. You can train your body to do things you never thought were possible. But it all begins in the mind. 4. There is a difference between hurt & injured. People often experience discomfort, and don’t know how to handle it in the moment (they think they are going to die). Self preservation mechanisms kick in. But when you understand where that pain is coming from and the purpose it serves, you can override it. Pushing past limits will always be uncomfortable. Know your body well so you can ride that line intelligently. *continued in comments*」6月5日 4時24分 - carlywopat

Yesterday, I set a new Deka Strong (@deka.fit/ @spartan) World Record. The previous female record was 12:40, & I went in with the goal of 12:30.

Some concepts that helped me set a new world record:
