The tears are simply from having my eyes open - like really open - feeling my resiliency, strength, the beauty of the world and of my relationships. I’m not sad, or upset, or lost. I am simply just grateful, even when life feels chaotic ;) The tears this morning came after sitting next to a unique tree and peering out at a distant, yet significant hill. This hill holds a lot of memories for me - happy ones, sad ones, painful ones, and even confusing ones. For the first time, I said aloud, without even thinking about what was coming out of my mouth “thank you, and I do not need you anymore” These words likely mean nothing to you. But wow - they flowed gracefully out of my mouth with so much force and meaning - and I finally felt free, while remaining appreciative of all those memories, and their significance in helping me get to where I am right now. To me, in that moment, I felt resilient, expansive and full of love.
