Out here, my sense of scale was confounded by the sheer size of the peaks around me. To one side of camp Mt. Logan towered over the entire horizon; a maze of rock, ice, and snow. After painting the beautiful colors in the snow pit (where the Volant Pants were crucial in keeping me warm while painting!) I painted a small sub peak of Mt. Logan, watching anxiously as the clouds slowly ate away at the summit of the mountain.
