I actually just realised this is my third tough mudder - I forget to add them on each time! This was also the first event that I took my 15yr old daughter Millisent to which was such an incredible experience for us both as I got to be a Tough Mother too. I knew that if I told her there were 5km, 10km and 15km courses available, she'd probably pick the 10km for a happy medium and not push herself to her limits, so removing all self-doubt for her, we hit the 15km and she loved it! What an amazing sense of achievement and so heart warming as a mother to see my warrior princess stepping out of her comfort zone with water obstacles and crossing streams like a boss. I'd also like to say a huge thank you to the insanely motivating energy and organisation from the staff, the guys who dressed as a bride and bumble bee in our wave and everyone who gave me a hand, foot up, pat on the back and ran as a human wall through the electric shocks - such epic camaraderie that still has me smiling! I hope that in sharing our experience here -with so many pictures, videos and a blog still to come- it will inspire you to reach for the stars, step out of your comfort zone and try something new with your friends, family, work colleagues, partner, children or on your own to get to know such fantastic like-minded mudders and make friends for a lifetime!
