We last spoke on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in New Delhi in September. We reaffirmed our excellent bilateral ties, as outlined in the Singapore-UAE Comprehensive Partnership signed in 2019 during the Ruler’s visit to Singapore. I invited UAE companies to do more in Singapore and agreed to deepen collaboration in key areas such as AI, the digital economy, energy, and sustainability. I also expressed support for the UAE’s chairmanship of COP-28. Given the urgency of climate change, we have to make substantial progress in global sustainability efforts.
