I have little experience with horses, but I decided to take some time before the walk on the beach to get to know this magnificent being. I was feeling a little nervous too. I spoke softly in his ear that I understood, that I’m also a bit of an introvert, and it’s ok if he wants to stay in the stables but if he chooses to join me we can stop at any point. Thankfully he forgave me for mistaking his name for Elvis… Elton chose to join me for a walk along the beach and even a swim in the sea - I was surprised how eager he was to immerse himself into the water 🌊. We stayed in the water for a peaceful few moments, with him nuzzling his nose into me whenever I paused from stoking his nose and ears. We shared a few secrets and stories too ✨. Honestly, this was one of the most heartwarming encounters with an animal I have experienced. I may be completely wrong and sugarcoating the whole thing, but it felt like taking that moment to connect and bond before taking part in this experience made a world of a difference to both Elton and myself to put us both at ease. I don’t know whether animals can understand our words specifically, but they most certainly feel the energy of our presence and vibration of our voice. Animals are truly a gift.
