We’ve had some amazing lion sightings over the past couple of weeks including this mating pair wading across a river. A century ago, an estimated 200,000 lions roamed wild in Africa; now, less than 30,000 remain. National Geographic launched the Big Cats Initiative to raise awareness and implement change to the dire situation facing all big cats.
