I'm not posting this to bash these individuals; I am posting this for the millions of women who follow and look up to these models and trainers who have been surgically altered in hopes that they will achieve the same results through "hard work" and "squatting". Because most enhanced fitness models will not openly admit to getting procedures, I believe that it's important for women to be fully educated before setting goals. The gluteus Maximus is largest muscle in the human body. That being said, each individual's glute size is greatly influenced by the one thing that none of us have control over, our genetics. This means that someone who comes from a lineage of flat booties is never going to NATURALLY develop a large bubble butt, no matter how much they lunge or squat. Can that individual grow their glutes? 110%, but to have a booty goal in mind that resembles Kim K is highly unreasonable. Another important point to consider is that about 90% of lower body exercises are compound movements, which means that they engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously. Squats, lunges, deadlifts, and any and all of their variations require the use of the core, quads, hamstrings, and glutes. This is important for the people who say they "just want to grow their glutes" without growing or working the rest of their lower body. Glute isolation workouts exist, but they are limited and because of this, extreme glute size without the development of the hamstrings or quads is an indication of a surgically altered derrière. NATURAL glute growth takes time. Naturally developing glutes are ones that you will be able to see progressing over time. Don't get discouraged if you don't double your booty size in two months. People spend years developing and shaping the glutes! The key is to have the perfectly sized and developed butt for YOUR frame! Goals should be realistic and achievable! #fitandthick #knowledgeispower
