There were no bears out in the park today, but it was a beautiful day, just like this sunny day up in the Arctic! This male polar bear was jumping from ice floe to ice floe looking for his next meal north of the Svalbard archipelago. His beautiful yellow and white coat really stood out against the bright blue skies. Polar bears are considered a marine mammal side they live out on the sea ice, but they are also the largest terrestrial predator on earth.
