#PracticePracticePractice Day 14. I didn't want to practice today. My mind was all over the place. I'm worried about personal stuff going on with Dad. He's having an operation and all I could think about is how far away I am. After speaking briefly with my parents I started to cry and nearly lost the motivation to practice. But I got on my mat. Then the momentum of the practice took over. And while it wasn't the best practice ever, in some ways it was actually the best. I feel better after, more calm, more clear, more connected. I felt the wave of overwhelming emotionality roll through me without drowning me like it used to. Strength is untiring devotion and unwavering endurance. Like this pose Parsva Dandasana, I always want to quit about half way through, but if I just stick with it, breath by breath it feels like yoga is showing me the way to be stronger. Thanks everyone for all your amazing comments on my post two days ago. I read every comment and your strength, rawness and vulnerability touched me deeply. Thank you!! ?
