Visiting Washington DC for 2016 @americanalpine annual meeting. We spent the day visiting our elected representatives to advocate for public lands and National Parks. We spoke with @stevedaines, @jontester, @sencorygardner, @senpattymurray & #mariacantwell and their staff about permanent funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, the Recreation Economic Act and the @nationalparkservice centennial.

Started the day with a run to the Lincoln Memorial. The cool breeze kept us on our toes. The morning sun peeked under a blanket of clouds from the previous evenings storm and created a fleeting rainbow spanning the Department of the Interior to the Lincoln Memorial. Rays of light shone upon the stately visage of Abe. It was humbling to reflect upon those whose work we benefit and a sliver of optimism that we can work together towards a common goal.
