Reading through some questions in the #freshbodyfitmind members area and stumbled across a very common topic...injuries and getting sick and how that heavily effects your training. ?? I thought I would talk about it here since it seems to effect so many of us!! The two most important factors that can help both of these setbacks are: 1️⃣ STRETCHING. This has so many physical benefits that I can't even list them all...but here are a few ?? Better circulation which sends fresh nutrient rich blood to muscles and joints to encourage quicker recovery after workouts ?? Lengthening and resetting muscle fibres which encourages correct muscle contraction and function (better technique used during your performed exercise) ?? Releases tight joints and muscles to reduce pressure on your body during day to day activities (ie. Better walking patterns, better sitting posture..) You also release pent up energy in the body that causes stress and illness. 2️⃣ FOOD. This point is simple. Your body is made up of what you feed it. Every cell in your body (muscles, hair, skin, hormones, immunity...) is built up of the food you eat every single day. I always encourage you to learn about what your body needs, and to do your own research! If you feel like you need extra immunity, research foods that boost your immune system and help your body detox. If you want to build muscle, look up high protein foods for muscle growth and good carbs to get you though your workouts.
