I had to scour the metro area to find Thousand Year Old Eggs (pidan). Once I found a few, I knew I had to get up close and personal with #largeformatphotography to capture their grotesque elegance. Truly transformed by fermentation to say the least. The photograph accompanies @fuchsiadunlop's fantastic article of Chinese Stinky Delicacies (she's taking over next).
