Monday’s #CurrentMood: “Untitled (Big Man)" at our @hirshhorn. Ron Mueck’s surly sculpture is double the man, double the grump.
The piece leans up against the wall in an incredibly life-like manner, except that the subject’s twice the size of a normal human. Mueck made the eyeballs with resin and individually inserted strands of monofilament for eyelashes, eyebrows, and stubble.
