in the midst of working through a blog post with a few easy thanksgiving recipes (coming soon!) I paused and realized that in a weeks time family and friends will come from the four corners of the earth, some haven't been home in a year, others like me are here nearly daily. under the steadfast cupola (pictured here after a dusting of snow last winter) a piece of the New England vernacular with its weathervane forever telling us the direction of the wind, we will all be together. It is our gathering place, the door forever open and the story forever unfolding, long before it was ours and hopefully long after, adding new layers. I for one can't wait -
