New York @ニューヨーク・メッツ fans said hello to #CitiField this afternoon at the team’s home opener against the Atlanta @アトランタ・ブレーブス. It was the bottom of the 7th inning in a scoreless opening day pitchers’ battle when the #Mets’ Wilmer Flores (@catire_4) raced home from 2nd on a single by Asdrubal Cabrera (@ajcabrera13). (Actually, raced home is not what @catire_4 did. He can hit with power, he can play multiple positions, but he can’t run well.) Still, his right foot tapped the top corner of home plate just ahead of the tag of @アトランタ・ブレーブス catcher Tyler Flowers (@tflowers25). Or so it seemed. The umpire called @catire_4 out, briefly deflating a crowd of about 44,000. Fortunately for the #Mets, the call was reversed, and they piled on 5 more runs for a 6-0 lead.
